Want to Write for Texas Nursing?
Texas Nursing Magazine welcomes original, evidence-based clinical papers and descriptions of best practices, original research, case studies, narratives, and other articles on a variety of topics, centered on the theme of the respective issue.
- Article Structure/Style – Texas Nursing is a trade publication, not a scholarly journal. While we consider articles about research and clinical topics, the tone should be informative and more journalistic than scientific.
All articles should be of general interest to a wide variety of nursing professionals. Article format is somewhat flexible depending on the content. See below for past issues.
- Format Only - original manuscripts should be submitted and should not be under consideration by any other publication. Article length should be between 600-850 words including references. Illustrations and tables should be designated
by placing citations as “figure 1” or “Table 2” as appropriate in the text.
- Title Page, Author Names and Affiliations – provide names, certifications and affiliations of all authors
- Corresponding Author and contact information – provide name of the author handling all communication and contact information.
- Abstract – concise and should briefly state the purpose of the article and conclusions. Should be no longer than 100 words.
